The Washington State Korean American Chamber of Commerce (KACCWA) emphasized the growing significance of the WABA Korea Expo as a key platform connecting Korean businesses with the U.S. market, highlighting its role beyond a cultural festival.
According to David Oh (President) and Hayden Hwang (Secretary General) from KACCWA, the WABA Korea Expo has evolved into a practical business-driven event that combines trade, networking, and cultural exchange. The organization noted that the expo provides Korean companies with direct opportunities to engage with U.S. buyers, promote products, and explore distribution channels through structured B2B meetings and on-site interactions.
KACCWA underscored that the event is designed to support small and medium-sized Korean enterprises seeking entry into the North American market. By facilitating face-to-face networking and real-time market testing, the expo enables participating businesses to assess consumer demand and brand competitiveness in a live environment.
The Chamber also pointed to the expo’s role in strengthening the Korean-American business ecosystem in the Pacific Northwest. By bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and community leaders, WABA fosters collaboration and expands economic networks within the region.
KACCWA stated that it will continue to position the WABA Korea Expo as a flagship initiative to promote Korean brands globally while reinforcing Seattle’s role as a strategic hub for Korea-U.S. business and cultural exchange.
